How to access results a day before the release date.

I used this method to access my uni results last year, and thought I should tell all you current UoM students how to access their results earlier than they are released:

1) Go to https://sis.unimelb.edu.au/cgi-bin/full-results.pl

3) Type in your student ID and PIN

4) Check your inbox in 1-2 hours from the time you requested your results history

You will then receive a record of all your results from first year onwards in the email sent to your inbox. This 'trick' will enable you to get your results the day before (usually at about 5pm) they are scheduled to be released. Good luck!

Stickied. I posted a version of this for the UMEP students earlier, but the screenshots on this post make this a much better guide.

I edited the post to make the topic more specific as to how useful the technique is, and also added that it is usually 5pm the day before when the results are up on the database.

I removed this, which is only specific for this semester: Results officially come out on the 10th/11th of July depending on your course.

I was wondering if I should request results before or after 5pm?

Since this thread is stickied, I presume I should be allowed to post in this dead thread...

I figure posting in a stickied, dead thread is generally acceptable, so long as the post contributes something of value.
Otherwise, the thread should have been locked the same time it was stickied.
(Unless the thread was still active, in which case it should have been locked by a mod once it had died.)

Forum etiquette 101, hey? XD
I dunno... it's not exactly necro when the thread is at the top of a board's topic list anyway.

that's a bit too much to ask :P it's kinda hard going through all of the past threads and locking them all...

What? ???
There's only a couple of stickied threads in each board... surely it isn't *that* tedious.
Mao... you're confusing me... -.-"

Edit: Wait, I think I get it... (maybe.)
What I said was in reference to Edmund's comment (tiny writing... probably should've quoted it).
All I was saying is that if mods didn't want us necroing stickied threads, then they would take action by locking said *stickied* threads once they'd died.
I didn't mean that anyone should go through *all* the old threads and lock them... the sorry soul who did that would be there all month

It depends sometimes. Before and after. I start at 9am, and request every hour (the email only gets sent every hour).
