The picture of the cat made me laugh, no write up of a experiment which sadden me quite a bit. :( However it was an alright exam, alot of questions involving immunity. Got the "what type of nucleic acid is in here" wrong for cholroplast wrote rRNA for some odd reason

Man I wrote rRna as well lawl. Are you sure it's wrong? There's ribosomes in chloroplasts!

also jane, not sure if you have to add 36-38 ATP for the mark.
teacher said dna :(
also think i got the placebo question wrong, wrote "it was used as a control to compare against the experiment" teacher also said i was wrong and it is a "fake drug that would have no results"

Really? Pretty sure you do... was it on any of the past assessment reports?

Oh I hope not :P

And they'll probably accept rRNA and DNA because rRNA makes up ribosomes....

I mean I honestly duno how anal they'll be, like.... the energy is sorta given? duno.

Also, what did people put for the plant one: abscisic acid or ethylene?

It is a fake drug that would have no results but that's what makes it the control... It proves that the probiotics actually have an effect.

Said something like that except I just said "it's a control in place of the independent variable (probiotic) so that results can be attributed to the effect of the probiotic" (or something like that) ... you think that would get the mark?

I also spelt it like that...   :'(

Personally I wrote mRNA as it copies the genetic code of DNA in the nucleus and looks like it was moving towards the ribosomes on the endoplasmic reticlum. You would need the function of mRNA to get the mark.

omg like what the hell...exam = so hard :(
i thought there was going to be an expiremental design or rational design question! i would have done better if those were on it
and i left two questions out
omg fml  :'(

i wrote abscisic acid too for that random plant question and for siemese cat i chose A (is that right o.o)
i wrote mRNA for the digram question.
what did you guys right for the "the person has an infection if blablabla"  multiple choice question? i was indecisive about histamine released from cells or pathogen in intestines. at the end i chose pathogen one but now im thinking its wrong? :/

Definitely. I also think you'll get the mark for the aerobic respiration equation... and I'm 99% sure it's Ethylene that causes abscission, and I stupidly wrote abscissic acid. Not so sure about the rRNA instead of DNA though, let's hope for both our sakes they accept both!

Think it was the pathogen one... histamine could be a result of something else, not necessarily an infection.

And for the siamese cat one I think it was D (my teacher agrees) because all the other results contradicted the information...

EDIT: They might have to accept both ethylene and abscisic acid. Quick google, some say ethylene and some say abscisic acid... ???
