the copper sulfate was D since all three occur

the CuSO4 is oxidized to Cu2+, the emission of light is caused by transition between energy levels and it does absorb red light

Cu2+ is not oxidised, it changes into its elemental state, meaning if anything, it is reduced
Remember, remember the 5th of November

2010 - MM CAS (47) - Cisco 1+2 (pass :P)
2011 - Eng - Phys - Chem - Spesh - Latin - UMAT
ATAR - 99.00+ plz... :)

Feel free to PM me for anything :D

Yeah it was probably to 4 because those are the only relevant numbers used in the calculations. I wrote to 3 :( And I barely showed any working.

it was 2:3
a lot of people got 1:2 but that is wrong, if u go to the other post witht he exam in it and re-read the question, in reaction 2, 1 ethanoic acid is produced but in three it is doubled, so the CO2 produced in that one is 1. overall there was 6CO2:4CH4 produced
hmmmm yea that's what i got...

Its 1:2 because the first reaction yields 2 lots of Ethanol, the next only shows one but the that reaction will happen twice you you'll have 2 lots of ethanoic acid present, which leads on to the next reaction.

What was the answer to MC 8 with ibuprofen? I don't get why it wouldn't be a simple condensation reaction forming a peptide linkage?

The Obvious answer was C, I put D cause Ionic is more soluble, but it could be increased polarity as well.

The question was asking which form was MORE soluble, all of them are soluble, but the question is where ionic supersedes polarity.
