4 MC's.... 2 were ambiguous questions. Seriously, i think VCAA just try and screw us over with ambiguity to separate students rather than challenge us with hard questions. If it isn't filling a question with 90% Red herring and 10% tuna afish, there pulling out MC's where you can technically have 2 or 3 answers. FW's!!!

every multiple choice had a 'more correct' answer... i had no issues identifying it

I big to differ with 1 or 2 of them...but thats not the point. My bone to pick is why do they aim to try and trick or test students comprehension ability to such great extent at times, when it's a chemistry exam? They should be foccusing more on exploring our understanding of the subject than simply trying to see if we can read questions carefully, be able to eliminate useless crap and so forth. They are twisting the system too much..

Thats a pretty big lol.
About Philosophy

When I see a youth thus engaged,—the study appears to me to be in character, and becoming a man of liberal education, and him who neglects philosophy I regard as an inferior man, who will never aspire to anything great or noble. But if I see him continuing the study in later life, and not leaving off, I should like to beat him - Callicle

The only thing I can say to combat this is that we are all under the same pressure... the system itself is a joke though =/ I wont argue for it, but I did feel that all M/C answers were understandable...

Reading and being able to identify what information is valid to what you are trying to find/eliminating irrelevant information isn't a factor that is indicative of your ability in chemistry?

I just think alot of the time they emphasise the comprehension aspect compared to the key knowledge element, which they've got wrong

i think vcaa were cruel, and should have made short answer hard enough for the people who had put in the work to stand out
