Legal Studies Study Score

Hey everyone! :)
Firstly, i'd like to start by saying that I apologize if this is not the appropriate place to post this but please don't flame me, I just created an account.

Im currently studying Legal Studies Units 3 and 4 in Year 11 and I haven't performed as well as I could have in my Unit 3 Sacs. I just wanted to ask anyone who is knowledgable in this area, to what extent to my SAC marks influence my study score?

I'd love to get a 45 raw and i'm willing to put the effort in from here on in so if anyone could help me out, that would be much appreciated :)

Thank you,
Fatih

Let's say I was to get the following:

Unit 3 SACS = 80% average
Unit 4 SACS = 95% average
End of year exam = 95%

Can anybody give me a rough idea of what my study score may be?

Welcome! Don't worry, you've posted in the right place. To break it down for you;

- Unit 3 SACs count for 25% to your study score
- Unit 4 SACs count for 25% to your study score

Overall Unit 3 and 4 SACs combined are worth 50% to your study score for Legal Studies. The other 50% comes from the exam at the end of the year. In terms of helping out and whatnot, we have a Legal Studies Questions Thread; if you have any questions/concerns throughout the year regarding the subject - post away there! Best of luck.

You'd be looking at mid 40's (if not higher) if I was to have a guess. 45 could be possible with those scores. SAC moderation also plays a part - so in that sense, difficult to say.

Hey there,
I'm in year 11 and doing 3&4 legal as well! You just need to
perform as well as possible on your sacs, aiming around the 80-95% range. Just try as hard as you can, but remember you can always repeat it next year! (:

SACs count for alot with regard to getting a mid to high 40 for Legal Studies. My unmoderated SAC scores were 97/100 for unit 3 and 99/100 for unit 4 (rank 3) with 56.5/60 on the exam. This amounted to a 45.

Rank is crucial in Legals to getting above 45.

hey um, it actually varies for the individual.
for example, the lowest rank school in the state is most likely going to give easy SACs out, therefore 100% is very achievable.
melbourne highschool will probably give much harder sacs out, so a 100% is less achievable.
therefore its not your actual grade that matters, but what you are ranked, and if the people above you in terms of ranking are good students who have the same aspirations, if not higher, as you.
