Pfft you are not going to fail, I promise you.

I also had a dream that I was walking my dog for hours, but that one probably isn't worth the conversation.

I did 3 level 2 maths subjects and I can tell you, it was one hell of a horrid semester.  That's 3 subjects where the exam is worth 80% of the total assessment.

EDIT:  Had to change a spelling mistake.  "One" rather then "on".

I'm expecting 4 H1s guys, at least 95 in each subject.

I'm not, but I wanted to break up the depressing trend of the thread :(

Actually, wouldn't those expectations be waaaaay too low for you Russ?  I thought it was 4 H1s, at least 100 in each subject.

seriously though Russ, are your microbiology subjects this year fairly easy? like do you think you could have gotten all H1s in them?
this major looks interesting, as well as pathology, were you considering this as well?

I'm considering jumping off a cliff with regard to my proposed major plans after having a discussion with the EPSC.
Now they want me to apply to remove my first year Psychology credit and then 'send an email begging' to the Graduate Psychology department for me to still be able to be eligible for honours and accreditation if I remove the subjects, but have done them.

This is all instead of just LETTING ME OVERENROL BY 12.5 POINTS.  Which, I think personally, is the easiest way to avoid the whole scenario, but oh well.  Apparently I am 'not allowed'.  I would gladly scrap Fundamentals, but I'm 'not allowed' to do that either.  Why do I make life so difficult for myself?

No but really Gloamglozer, you're not going to fail anything!  Positive thinking is where its at!  Realistically I'm probably not going to get the marks I need for UPenn but we can all hope for bright days ahead.

The major is Microbiology and Immunology, the micro subject has been pretty good. Dragged a bit at times but overall was a great ride. Expecting an H1 in it tbh. The immunology subject was probably more interesting but has also been much (much) harder. Some of the stuff from principles of immunology was actually so difficult it wasn't assessed. Username might also have an opinion, she's in the same major as me/

Pathology was interesting until I actually had a block of lectures on it, at which point it became annoying and bad. Maybe it was just the lecturer, but it was really...blah. It's applied immunology, so it's still interesting but I much preferred micro (hence my major choice)

how come it became annoying and bad? i think pathology sounds more interesting actually, but dont know that much about it from the handbook descriptions.

What about the physiology major, do you know anyone in it, is it as difficult as Micro/Immunology or Pathology?

For Physiology you'd have to contact Edmund - he's the guy for that.

BTW Russ: I was actually disappointed in the Immunology exam for the small range of topics it covered. I was expecting a lot more from it, but walked out feeling a bit cheated in the amount of stuff we learned but was not examined. :(

Facebook updated to confirm the earliest is 1st, latest is 8th thing.

Just log into your portal, when a subject disappears from the list on the left it means the mark is out

My friend already got her Italian mark :)
2008: Mathematical Methods (49)
2009: English (50), Specialist Mathematics (47), Chemistry (49), Physics (49), Latin (44)

Ooh, I had forgotten about that prize! I'll settle for the "personal glory" though lol
Yeah, the PI exam was kinda narrow in scope. Brooks was smart though, he set that impossible KIR/HLA essay question that nobody attempted, so he has nothing to mark!

It was applied immunology so it wasn't terrible but learning about wound repair and fibrosis is just tedious memorization, whilst immunology actually had some conceptual basis. Also, interpreting smears/slides is way less fun than it sounds

I was considering doing a physiology subject, I did it last year and it's entirely different so it's not really a fair comparison. Physiology is macroscopic rather than microscopic but I really enjoyed it. I was tossing up between the two majors...the reason I chose micro/immuno is because the physiology major layout is atrocious. Also, I hope you like neurons and action potentials if you choose this one :P
