Techniques in Molecular Science VS. Microbes

Need to choose 2nd semester selective and tossing up between Techniques and Microbes. Which one is better?

Lol i thought they would be similar. Is it because microbes has easier content? or easy assessment? or because Techniques is really hard?

Microbes is way more interesting because you're not just a lab monkey for a semester. Instead you get to be a lab monkey AND an immunologist!

Microbes has weekly pracs but they're designed really well (you pretend to be a doctor doing assays to diagnose patients), whilst I heard that the Techniques pracs are kinda dull (I dropped the subject in 1st week for microbes).

That sounds very interesting! Is the assessment easy though?

Not easy. If you don't put effort into the lab reports you won't get higher than a 7 and the immunology department write some tricky exam questions. It's not a hard subject though, I enjoyed it a lot and got a good mark

I guess if its enjoyable then you'll want to put the effort in. Friend of mine just told me today that he's going to do Pharmacology. Have you heard anything about that subject? should I tell him to stay away from it lol or stick with it?
