Studying till late or waking early to study?

Topic title self explanatory :)

So what is best?

I love my sleep :D (extreme understatement) so often work into the early hours as I can sleep through ten+ alarms which makes waking early to study quite a task. I have the tendency to unconsciously turn them all off haha, bit of a dilemma hey?

However, is studying till late extremely ineffective?

EDIT: Just realised I may have posted this topic in the wrong place. If so, apologies.

If it is mandatory for work to be completed by late morning or classes the next day, then I prefer staying up because I just cannot work in the mornings, especially without sufficient sleep, otherwise I just complete them after breakfast the next day, which is when I tend to work optimally

Oh thank you! I really do not know how others pull all nighters though, still pretty amazed that most can concentrate for so long! Haha. I'm such a disaster with my sleeping schedule. Can't sleep early yet can't bear to stay awake from 3am onwards and would not be able to wake until it's well past six. Haha, figuring out a study schedule sure is troublesome.

Definitely night time. Mornings really aren't my thing. I'd prefer to stay up until 5am rather than wake up at 5am.

Except for the morning of my VCE Physics Exam, I don't think I've ever studied properly before 10am EVER.

Definitely, for me, morning = best for studying

Your either an 'owl' or a 'lark' and this will influence your study habits

Yeah, I study/read throughout the the night/early morning. It's better for me for many reasons.

1. My family are all asleep I can study in peace.
2. I can go into the kitchen and eat like a boss without being told off.
