I got 45 with A+ on all SACs. Scaled to 53.16, I think.

Got 38 was A+ on Sacs and A on both exams.
Very good, i'm looking for around that. Maybe straight low A+'s. What do you/anyone think I would get with that?

How much studying a day on Specialist did both of you/anyone else do?

it's not how "much" that matters.
it's more about how effective, which depends on the individual

Low A+ = low 40s, or 39 if you're unlucky

45 = top 2% = high A+s

well yeah, i guess it all comes down to the natural ability and retention rate of a person.

Really? And you got a 38 RAW, don't you wish you did more study and get a higher score? Well i guess a 38 RAW is definitely enough for almost anyone.

Thanks Damo17, but I'm no master of maths. I happen to be clever at understanding what I need to know, but lack the sort of motivation that you have (which I have read about with awe).

My Exam 1 score was 39/40, and my Exam 2 score was 75/80 in 2006.

I got a 41, got an A+ on both sacs and for exam 2, but only got an A for exam 1 (I royally fucked up a 4 mark question on this exam).

Well, it is all about what is important and not important in the preparation for SAC's and Exams. Great scores!
Thanks, I just find Mathematics so fascinating and enthralling to do. The hard questions that make you think are really what I love.

What does each person doing Specialist find as the hardest topic personally?

Nah not really, I was comfortable where I was at (coping well with the workload/understanding the concepts) in spesh and the rest of my subjects - and I wasn't really that motivated to aim at the 99+ field.

My main goal was 92+ and I was pleasantly surprised!

I thought complex numbers and vectors had the most potential to be confusing and brain-taxing questions. Calculus became mechanical once you had enough practice, and kinematics and dynamics is pretty straightforward.

off topic: I noticed you're only aiming for 30 in English it's going to be a lot more difficult to do well (ie 95+ like you are aiming) if you get a low English score.. you'd be surprised (I know I was!) how dramatically your English mark can affect your overall enter.
