You might want to take a management or commerce course, because you need someone to finance your inventive skills!

would it be high recommended if u took a science course for scientific knowledge and do a finance subject as your breadth? i.e Bsc at UoM

Ah yes, I just read in my OB (organisational behaviour) readings that creative skills are amplified by specialisations in particular fields. A high school background is probably not enough to be an inventor then. The word 'inventor' has connotations with science and engineering, but there is no reason why you could not be an inventor in some other field - although the more commonly used term for that is 'entrepreneur,' I guess.
