Out of curiousity..

Does someone with an A who missed out on an A+ by one mark have just as much chance to a 40 if they got exactly the same score as the A+ person on the second exam?

Someone on the board told me it doesn't matter what GRADE you get necessarily, but the numerical score when it's totaled up.  :-\

yep

it's the standardised score that matters.

if you can make up for that one mark on the second exam, (and the weighting for both exams are the same), your total score would be the same if you got the A+ on both. (this A+, however, would be a low A+)

ACTUALLY.
I just went and checked the grade ranges for international studies 2007.

I got an A on the exam, meaning I lost anywhere from 14 to 20 marks on that exam. BEFORE doubling xD
However, I got 100% on my SACs for unit 3 AND 4, which saved me.

SO - don't worry so much! Even if you lost that many marks you can still get 40+! LOL

I missed out on an A+ in Psych by 0.5 marks
I can still get a 46 if I get a high A+ (losing only 1 or 2 marks on the next exam)
but thats unrealistic

You can get a 40 if you get A's on both exams, provided they are high A's
