Doesn't it go like: Bachelors --> Masters --> PhD? Can you do a PhD without a Masters?

an Hon. in any new. gen. degree still doesn't qualify you for anything though xD

::) Are you trying to start a debate? Troll much?

yes you can go to do Ph.D. without masters: via Hon.

year 12 ==> Bch (Hon) ==> Ph.D.
a fast-tracked way to get into research.
Depends in which discipline. BSc (Hons) in maths is enough to PhD in maths in Australia. But for other degrees you still often need to do masters.
VCE 2006
PhB (Hons) (Sc), ANU, 2007-2010
MPhil, ANU, 2011-2012
PhD, Princeton, 2012-2017
Research Associate, University College London, 2017-2020
Assistant Professor, University of Virginia, 2020-

Feel free to ask me about (advanced) mathematics.

I was told someone got an ENTER of only 92 and still got into med in Monash, though he was also heavily recommened by his high school. But was it because of the school's recommendation that got this kid into Med?

No

School reccomendation plays no part

There are some kids in my year who got in with scores of around 86ish, i myslef got in with 94

Being from the country can help, as that is taken into consideration when giving interview offers and such.

Competition for monash spots will be intense, so just do the best yo can and do the number crunching after your last exam and there's nothing more that you can do. If you number crunch now, you'll lower your standards and slack off

nope, hahaha

i got an overall score of 54 --> 5 points lower than the cutoff for monash (i got 161 in old-school scoring)

I got an interview under Deans Rural List (NB: if i have to tell one more person that suburbs of melbourne and geelong are not rural i'll go insane)

My interview was most likely what got me in

Yes, merlin i advise you to research the entry process into medicine

This will help resolve any part of the process you don't understand
