why do it then when you only need 94.4? you clearly will get that with your science and mathematics subjects so i think that doing English is pretty stupid. your wasting time on a subject that has no benefit to you!

Your missing the point. He doesn't have to waste any more on it. He can just go to class, bring his Chem books and study for Chem, do no hw, do no exam prep and just sit the exam!

no i get the point, but i'm talking about from the beginning not just from now. Like why do it from the start? he already has a 45 in methods and 36 in ITA, plus more 40+'s in the science/maths is an easy 95+. I just don't see the point of doing those extra subjects. unless you really like work, mao?

Unfortunately he can't go back in time and change things. I am giving my opinion based on the timing of his query. If he asked us this at the start of the year I'm sure a lot of people would have given differnt answers (ie. Just do Eng Lang)

I do highly doubt that you will be spending much of that extra time on your other subjects though. I think with all the work you've done now, it's still possible to wing the exam and do fairly well on it without further work. You might be surprised. In fact, having a new "don't care" approach to English may actually improve your result. You never know, might as well experiment -- you haven't got much to lose.

yeah, my English teacher said that to me today after I knocked up a half-baked essay in 30 minutes. "this is a new style Mao, I like it." lol.

that is most likely what I will do, depending on how prepared I am comes that time of year for my other subjects
