UNIT 4 revision lectures

Starting to receive all the flyers about end of year revision lectures!!! I went to TSFX for Unit 3 and found it very good….helped me achieve my A+ exam result. But Unit 4 lecture is only being run by Ian McDonnell…who I don’t find a very good lecturer.

I am now considering going to the Neap lectures.
Any one been to these before? In bio or any other subjects??????
Would love to hear comments about them….and any other companies which offer revision lectures.
 :)

I went to a NEAP headstart lecture for Methods last year with a friend, and neither of us were pleased at all because the lecturer was terrible. We just could not pay attention for the full lecture, and felt that we had wasted our money on it. So, really it depends on who you get. I'm not sure who the Bio lecturer is though..and this is only the lectures I'm referring to - I've heard that NEAP's end of year intensive programmes are fantastic. And personally I'm a huge fan of their Smartstudy revision guides.

Well with TSFX for unit three, the first lecturer named Kelly (macrob girls teacher??) was fantastic.
She went through the whole first booklet on AOS1, told us what important points to highlight, and presumed learning from Units 1&2 and a few tricky exam questions. This was very beneficial leading up to exams.
Ian then took the lecture for AOS2-detecting and responding. He only got through half the material of AOS2, and barely touched on the immune system. Don’t get me wrong, he is a great talker and would make a fantastic class teacher. . . .
But as for a lecturer, he spent too much time showing us pictures, vids, and facts not relevant to the exam. From a lecture you need someone who is speedy and detailed, Ian didn’t cut it.

Yea, u can win a laptop, but it is quite an expensive lecture. I am going to TSSM for bio and monash university lectures at peninsula campus for rest of subjects.

guys, search "douchy's biology" into the itunes store to get a great batch of free revision podcasts. they were a great help for me last year.

real good for when you can't be bothered doing "hard" study, but feel guilty sitting around doing nothing.

OMG lol i found them the other day, added all of his to my ipod lol, as well as ones by another guy on itunes called... VCE Biology podcast episode 24, its by some Mr Barlow guy, it covers unit 3 mainly, but its pretty good. I'm, going to the Unit 4 Biology Lecture by TSSM at Monash in Gippsland - on the 26th of Ocotber, at like 1-4 or something, I'm pretty excited to go because i love Biology, i hope tssm is good. lol
