Deakin- Trimester system as of 2009

Hey, I noticed today at Open day that Deakin is moving to Trimesters next year as opposed to semesters. I think it's awesome

Hmm, how many units are on offer in the summer?

Most unis have summer semester, but eg I can't do anything unless I want to do a 3rd year unit over summer

Deakin has been operating in a very similar way to a trimester system for several years, by offering units for study over summer semester.
The difference now is that the trimester 3 teaching period is the same length as trimesters 1 and 2, and there will be a greater selection of units available in trimester 3, many of which are available as Commonwealth Supported Places (subject to students meeting the current admission rules and requirements)."

Not sure how many but "greater selection"

dont like the sound of "many of which are available as CSP" - should all be CSP if they want to move to this system
