Would you go to VCENotes lectures run by members?

Eg. If Admad was holding a Specialist lecture would you go, given that the lectures were reasonably priced and in a convenient location?

Yeah. Who posted that link with the Medical Students who are providing lectures for lower-class students? They're charging like $10 per head. I reckon they'll be raking in cash from that.

People will have low expectations of them, but they'll have low prices too, so that will ultimately lead to customer satisfaction I reckon. We should match them.

Most definitely, we have some great people on here. Some very smart people that would be so useful to learn from.

I am going to the English one. It's actually $5 per person if you pay in advance, $10 if you register prior and pay at the door (which is what I am doing). I don't have massive expectations like you said but the cost is really good. (9am-4pm and lunch is provided). They run not-for-profit and therefore any profit driven lecture would need to charge more.

For my current subjects I would pay to see:
English- Nick
Business- Elaine (where the fuck has she gone? lol)
Accounting- No one
Economics- Coblin (if it followed the VCE course)
Further Maths- No one

Not active enough on the site for me to have a pre-determined opinion on his ability.
I know he got a 50 though so I guess he would be good.

I still don't really know what's on the VCE Economics course, even though I tutor it. I just rely on them to ask me questions, and if I don't know it, I'll just be honest and say I don't know. I'm usually top-notch with all the theory (slightly unfond of macroeconomics), but I hardly know any of the facts - which university level economics is not so concerned with getting their students to learn.

Do you reckon something like this could potentially get off the ground for 2009'ers?
I think if it was profitable, enwiabe wouldn't really have any objections and if the presenters were paid a commission or wage then the participants probably would be interested in getting onboard.

Yeah, it'd be a lot of fun if I was given a bit of cash to talk a bit about Chemistry and Economics for a few hours.

That was me. I believe this is a pretty adequate idea but it really depends on the teaching capabilities of Admad or Coblin. I know heaps of students who achieved 98+ ENTERs  and began running their own Tution Centres(They make heaps of profit too!) and they are successful in terms of helping students optimizing their ENTERs. If you guys feel that you have the potential of explaining concepts thoroughly and fluently, i'd say go for it because this will help members of the community and is beneficial in terms of monetary gain and experience.
