This guy followed the VCE course plan that I recommended on BoS in that mini-manifesto about how to optimise your ENTER score (multiple English, maths and science for systematically attainable high scores).

Bloody hell enwiabe, read before you post :P

He was our #1 suspect to be AkirA until we saw the fact he did english language :P

Also, is it just me or did anyone else think they were opening a thread about World of Warcraft :(

Akira didn't do EL, and I'm pretty sure he did physics.

definately not Akira, he did spec, phys, chem, eng and umep in yr12

50 in spec only scaled to 54.2 last year??

Derrick was probably accelerated from a young age

That guy is fucking mental. One of my maths lecturers at uni was talking about how even he thought Tao was ridiculous - and this is John Hutchinson, whose groundbreaking paper on fractals released in 1981 has been one of the top ten cited maths papers every year for the last 26 years.

lol I thought this was a World of Warcraft thread...

I reckon Derrick Ha must have been doing accelerated learning, the type of guy that'll finish Yr 12 Methods in Yr 9 (I mean he got 50 in Yr 10)

I believe he was doing 3/4 Methods in Year 10.

(such an acceleration program for maths does exist at Haileybury).

although it's an impressive feat, there are probably many yr 7s out there with the potential to emulate it. They just have to treat maths as
as passion rather than merely a subject [and have a good acceleration program and teachers.]
I remember in yr 7 many of the maths guns didn't enjoy maths, though they worked to get good marks because they were competitive
