Forces for chage and change issues

Here is where we can have a list of company's, their forces for change and issues related to change management for them. I've done Telstra, feel free to do one or some of the others and when I get home I'll do some more and if anyone has somethign to add feel free.

Telstra
-Needs for innovation (internal). Eg. National Broadband network
-Competitive markets (external) Eg. Increase in competition in the last decade, Optus, 3, Virgin etc
-Technological factors (external)

Qantas

QANTAS
- increased competition from budget airlines, reduction in costs (external)
- social attitudes in regards to their recent safety mishaps (external)
- economic factors such as increased interest rates has reduced demand from customers (external)
- increased costs has also resulted in staff retrenchment (internal)
