AQ your dp pic is really annoying lol. And also to JL... in your sig you have "hoping for ENTER of 98+ <---watch this space..I lower my expectations every few weeks =p"

i've noticed that you've increased a 97.xx to 98 so :D

^ LOL yeah I did raise it from 97.5 to 98 :p but before that...it went from being 99+ to 98.5+ to 98, then 97.5+...but I figured, hey, anyone at my school who scores 98+ gets invited back as a 'Scholar' for this special assembly next year, so why not aim for that :) ...but who knows, I might lower it again. Keep watching that space :p

Would it be even harder to transfer from Arts/Law @ ANU to Arts/Law @ Monash?

Is that even possible, or would monash refuse to do it because your already enrolled in the same course

I'm curious about that too.

But I'm pretty much setting that option aside - I REALLY don't want to move interstate at all. I love Melbourne and my life here. If I don't get into Arts/Law at Monash immediately, I'm just going to do Arts for a year then try for an internal transfer into Arts/Law at Monash.

What about Arts/Law @ LaTrobe or Deakin?

Nope LaTrobe and Deakin are out of the question for me...firstly due to the whole 'prestige' matter, but also because of distance from my place.

Doubt it would be hard. ANU's a better uni than Monash so they should accept you straight up. Mind you, I wouldn't go to ANU just with the plan to transfer back to Monash after a year...

Exactly.

Better 2 show a bit of commitment... coz generally that commitment carries thru 2 ur results, whether u intend it 2 or not.

My career's counsellor was pushing 4 me 2g2 ANU.
I was like: No.

What about arts/law at deakin to arts/law monash (no chance of getting 99.nolife)

What criteria will they look at when I apply?
2008 ENTER: 97.35

ENG: 40 -> 39.45
PE: 49 -> 48.89
BM: 45 -> 43.43
ChineseSL: 33 -> 44.35
Methods: 22 -> 26.55
Viscom(2007): 41 -> 38.18

2009: comm/law @ deakin

Your average grades (around 80+), it'd probably need to be higher from Deakin then ANU because Deakin isn't apart of the G8 universities.

Also: a warning that you may have to repeat your law degree when you transfer.

My friend transferred from VU com/law to Monash com/law, and had to repeat the first year of her law degree because VU's wasn't up to standard. Dunno about Deakin though.
