hi guys.
I've heard that yr 12 chem is way harder than yr11. Is this true or is everyone over exaggerating?
thanks

Uh, learn stoich in year 11 and you'll find it helps a heap. I didn't really get stoich in year 11... but then again I didn't really get anything. But I did some stoich in the holidays before year 12 and it paid dividends. The start of unit 3 is pretty much stuff you've already learnt.

more of that and calculating how much of something makes something etc. and how much mass is evolved theoretically, etc.

Somewhat relevant, I was wondering if the material in Unit 1 is relevant for Units 3/4? Especially bonding and polymerisation.
My teacher is just.. ah I won't get into that as it's partly my fault for not learning the course myself. :S

Yes, bonding helps to understand units 3/4 more easily; such as melting points, etc. I think there was a question in this year's unit 3 exam related to it, and also another question on bonding in a trial exam I just complete (for unit 4).
