It's out of 100.

Last year's cut off for a UMAT interview with Monash was ~58-59 IIRC

how do they change your score to one out of 100? Is it percentile or what?

Magic.

Interesting, seems that this year few to none performed so fabulously as to get a raw above 100 in any of the sections.
It's out of 100.
No, there's no limit on it, its just normally distributed.

There will be an artificial end-point, as you can't have results tending to infinity...generally speaking, in such a way that ~3+ sigma of a tail remain within the domain (much like study scores).

In addition, a 1:3 ratio (making the assumption that the /300 mark was normally distributed due to the central limit theorem and large sample size) between 300 -> 100 would suggest that a mark of 60 correlates very approximately 180+, which sounds oddly close to the cutoff on the old marking scheme.

would a 72 (not sure what that is, but a 72) be enough for an interview?

Meh, I don't pretend to understand what that means. Some kind of ritualistic chant about 'tail', 'remain' and 'domain'? Very rhythmic. I'll try to answer to the gist of it.

Realistically, the upper limit on a raw score is maybe ~110.

But UMAT 'results' are scaled relatively. So theoretically if everybody gets zero of the questions correct, and you get all of them right, then you'd have something freakish like 200 raw. Its like how the IQ scale has no theoretical limit.
