... No it isn't. Don't spread misinformation, and think before you scare people.
Before the Melbourne Model, EVERYONE who applied to Melbourne applied to Monash, yeah? So Monash extended interviews to the FULL cohort of people. So the UMAT score required for the interview will not go up. What will probably go up is the ultimate UMAT and ENTER required to actually get in.
How 'bout you do some research before
you spread misinformation. Not to sound too aggressive, but even presuming that "Before the Melbourne Model, EVERYONE who applied to Melbourne applied to Monash, yeah?", which is only approximately true, Monash will probably be issuing less interviews this year as:
- they do not have full-fee places anymore so there are less places overall
- no longer have to account for people with Melbourne 1st pref
Also, each year there is more competition. There is an increasing trend in number of people sitting UMAT.
gabrielle_ if it was 76 overall, you probably have an interview offer! The overall score for an interview last year at monash was 59.
Stop saying that, she explicitly mentioned it was 76%, therefore, though I am loath to say it, there is little to no chance of getting into medicine at Monash at the least(though of course there are other unis).
Better to err on the side of pessimism than to give false hope.
