Yeah, costargh is one of our resident humanities ppl. Never fear, there are a few floating around. I'm 1 of those in-betweeners that does a bit of both, but I didn't do any of your humanities subjects Rietie so I'm afraid I won't be much help for you XD (English, Accounting, Legal Studies, Physics, Methods, Spec).

Ha ha, thx for the compliments ^_^ And I more lurked than posted in the legal forums, since there never seemed to be any useful things for me to post about  I'm sure we'll recify that in the new year though ;) :)

Hi, I'm Marguerite and I'm completely new to FSN - only found out about it yesterday from my brother.

I'm 16, an '08 and am going to Loreto Mandeville Hall (also known as Loreto Toorak - I think the school just wanted to get the Toorak into the name somewhere).

I'm doing National Politics, Literature, English, Renaissance and Maths Methods next year. I did Revs this year.

Looking at most of the posts, I think I might be one of the few humanities people... although I am doing maths (wish I wasn't now though - damn smart year 11's doing methods, they make me feel stupid)

Mmm, lol, I remember looking into that school a bit and the Headmistress was rather ostentatious about the school's location. Tis gorgeous though

Thanks for *that* word. Had to look it up :(
And yes, it's  beautiful - the mansion that is part of our school is heritage listed. And so nice inside. Don't know how an order of nuns managed to buy it. meh.

Funny about the school principal. Don't really get that impression of her. But all those that attend my school become snobs, so she, being the principal, is now a snob, and I have become snob - I can now admit it. Kinda strange though seeing as I come from an ordinary suburb - I do not live in Toorak or near it.

Somebody on another site, when asked what school she was from, replied: Loreto *cough* Toorak
                                                                                                       But I'm on scholarship
                                                                                                        I live in Coburg
                                                                                                         Please don't hate me!

Haha, only just realised "Rietie" comes from "Marguerite." Awwww that's so cute! How long have you been called that for?

heh, i'm the same with the whole "i may have gone to school in toorak but i was a scholarship boy!"
no one wants to admit being a snob... well, apart from rietie.

and in response to your question, i think we've called her that all her life. she gets called riet too.

Thanks Peter..... (also known as humphdogg)

But, I have been called Rietie all my life, but only by my family - you can understand now why humphdogg knows about my nickname then.

And I'd like to mention I tried for a scholarship but wasn't smart enough :( .... not like humphdogg (cough *genius* cough)
I only got into the school because my mum went there (and she was dux of her year) and her old principal tried to get me in too...
So I'm very lucky to be in the school I'm in.
