recieving offers - then what?

what happens after you get an offer?
is there a deadline you have to accept your offer by? if so, what steps do people usually go through to accept? is it any different if you get an offer from UAC (specifically because that's the only other body ive applied to)
the reason i ask is because i may not be in the country when we're notified of the offers and given details (via post right? or is it email?)

anyway, any info would be appreciated. thanks :)

You would have listed a proxy who can act on your behalf right?

The uni that your offer is for will then send you details about how to enrol.
If you plan on not being around during january then organise a proxy asap.

(also to anyone reading - you should always accept your first round offer, if you get a better one in later rounds then you can switch over)

Ideally your preferences contain courses you want to do, so you should want your first offer.

The reasoning behind my post is, if you don't accept your first offer and don't receive a later one, then you're not going to be doing anything next year :P

And if you receive another offer, then you're allowed to decline the first one right?
