Just think about the cycle.

Get involved in shares, if you're actively seeking a job in finance wait it out. These sort of doom and gloom stories are why confidence gets so low.

If by the end of you're degree, you can't get a job, do a graduate degree, and specifically target the area you want to work in.

I'm going to finance no matter what rofl. <3 it

and yeah, as marbs said, it's just the business cycle. It'll get better in 2-3 years time and you'll start seeing those $150,000 payouts again :)
