LOL, jess it's not that exciting. I wanted to see what other people were nominated for if they had awards like our school.

Our school nominates students from years 7-12 for all areas of study (ie. maths, technology, arts etc) based on our results throughout the year.

This year I was nominated for the humanities award (the faculty in charge of VCE Accounting, Economics, Business Management, Legal Studies and lower year/s commerce).

Awards night is next Thursday, 2 days after year 12 is over. If I don't win it I'm gonna kick a hissy fit haha

It is exciting!

I'll be excited FOR YOU then  ;D
YAY!

We get our awards on presentation night, last year I got the Australian Defence Force (Long Tan) and Christian Character awards (1% off getting the Lit award... grumble grumble)
We don't get told if we get one until a week before presentation night... and we don't get told what it is.

I am getting a special award this year though... I just can't say on here in case people from my school are roaming around. My vice principal will shoot me if anyone finds out. :)

Awards Night @ my skool is by invitation only.
If we're invited it means we got something.
Usually have no idea wot it is until u get the presentation guide tho XD

I keep getting these "Certificate of Merit" things for achievement for tennis.

Never get to actually get a colour though. That's reserved for all the jocks in the First XIs

I haven't won an award before.

Only once in year 7 when we played some prime number game and I won this massive Easter egg. I don't think that really counts. Other than that, not even close to winning anything, lol.

/pwned.

I got something like that in yr8, which *was* when i transitioned from being a dud in sport to quite good. Once I made the A race for 100metres [it went to D]; the other competitors almost fell over when they saw me lining up next to them

ahhhh I love dud awards

I got the "quiet hard worker" award in my softball team one year. I've still got it :D

I also have more "certificate of participation" awards than I care to count :)

We had some informal awards today. It was along the lines of "biggest skank" and "most likely to have a gambling problem"..etc
