We finish on Wednesday, last day of classes, but we have a massive Year 12 Assembly + muck up day on Thursday.

Still in two minds over leaving school, leaving school means that exams are imminent which is a terrifying prospect.  But the end of school = Uni = life is wonderful.

Two mornings per week this semester I've started uni at 8am :)
(not by choice either)

... this is what you are going into. And in most cases (almost everyone except for the MHS/Macrob people) uni is further away than school is
Living on campus + waking up at midday every day = win :)

Didn't 4 me until last exam either.

So engrossed in study that u don't notice these things.

As 4 uni.
If u don't live on-campus, u're probably gonna have 2 get up earlier -.-

I'm a pretty extreme case coz my uni is so far tho.

That said, I only had uni 3 days a week this semester.

hey, is BA22 like, much older than most other ppl here?
I wonder if his experiences were similar to mine, having left school early, then coming back to do yr12 long after everyone else in my original "class"

Today, I had the Valedictory Assembly which I spoke of earlier in this thread. I promised myself to try not to cry, but I had a pack of tissues ready in my pocket. And what do you know...friend to my left starts getting a bit teary. Which sets me off, badly! I hug another friend outside the hall, after the assembly...I set her off. It's a vicious cycle!

I wasn't really sad at all - in fact, I am so, so happy and relieved to be finishing school. I've had some tough times at school for non-academic reasons, so now, I can finally put all that behind me completely.

Our "leaving song" is so sad. When we started singing it at speech night I was in tears:

Adieu, adieu old school, adieu, adieu,
and if I never more see you, [see you],
Although the time has come for us to part,
your still your corner in my heart, [my heart].

No more detention lists for me, [for me]
tomorrow night I will be free, [be free]
and yet I think I'd risk a lot of cane
to be at wesley once again, [again.]

No more evening prep for me, [for me]
tomorrow I'm at school no more, you see
and yet somehow I don't feel very glad,
in fact, I feel a little sad
Absurdly sad.

:'(

I can't believe it's over...

Heh, we've all been there...

But yeah, you do move on - for better or for worse. Generally better.
