It wasn't even their Muck Up day. My friend who goes there says its supposed to be Wednesday, but since this stuff happened today, they cancelled all their classes and banned them from coming to school the next few days. They literally escorted them onto the streets half way through classes. What does the school expect if they dump 250 kids on to the streets and say "You've finished school forever now, btw, and you're not a responsibility".
They should expect a lot of mayhem, but probably don't.
It was muck-up day for them so alot happened,
but the main suspesnions occured because there was a huge game of Mugby on Xavier oval
some kid broke his collarbone and the teachers couldn't control the game
Oh dear. Imagine breaking your collarbone this close to exams! You might be able to get special consideration or something, but you'd still have to sit them and that would hurt.

he would probably get a scribe...
which would be a pain if he was doing maths.

Yeah reall pain...
Expecially if he was doing a language too...
Because one year my Teacher had to write the exam for the student..
Then an aditional assessor had to overlook the whole thing..
The student had to spell every single word...

I also heard that all the students at that school were suspended so they cant go to
school for three days... But that isnt punishing them at all...
they're just going to study at home anyway

I think that's the point. It's better than them messing around at school. Why would they want to prevent them from studying?

Hehe.
Listening to Fox FM this morning, where a Xavier student from year 12 was talking about the suspension.
He said the hottest girls were from Mandeville. Score.
And apparently the guy on nova also said they were hot too.
:)

I hope (for the rest of my classmates who are going) that the Red and Black ball isn't cancelled because of these stunts.

Yep, that was the point

From the Xavier Principal

"Schools throughout Australia have had to deal with departing students letting off steam for many years. In our case this year we deemed it necessary to take decisive and unpopular action to ensure Year 12 students committed to their studies could use the remaining day effectively without distraction."

I know theres drug problems in MHS so just take my word for it =P (perhaps not dealing though)...I have some doubts for MacRob though ahaha

Really? I only ever noticed a smoking problem, not drugs.

That said, there's so many asians...I'm not surprised.

Thing with MHS is that they clamp down hard on anything untoward. I heard a few years back they expelled someone for getting in a fight in the city. For Year 12s they warn them that if they cross the line they will not be allowed to sit exams: and I would expect pretty much the whole school take exams as a big deal

As for Xavier, I read on the Age that the injured guy is the same guy that was infamous for being recorded in a bullying incident. Not a good cohort in terms of publicity I guess.

One of the students wrote to the Herald-Sun website, admitting his classmates were destructive.

"Our year level has always had a bit of a lust for wanton destruction with the types of guys who think car jumping is a fun pastime," he wrote.

lol, the year level's got some issues I think

I think they should ban muck up day all together. It would solve all our problems.

Do you know what happened?

Judging by you're comment I know you don't understand what really happened, so why comment and embarrass yourself

It's just media hype really...people get binned and 'hedged' (thrown into the garden hedges - oh the hilarity) all the time at MHS. Pretty sure stupid stuff like that happens all the time at most schools also. Besides, the wheelie bin incident this time was performed on someone who VOLUNTEERED (my friend goes to Xavier) so it wasn't bullying or anything -_-"
