Does anyone know any cool trig expressions/conversions/simplifications like this:

When I did a practice exam which involved this simplification, I had to stare at the question for like 20 minutes...:(

Is this on the formula sheet? I recall something similar to this from it (I will be relying on my formula sheet so much :P).

On the formula sheet you have 3 groups of things:
Fundamental one (sin x)^2 + (cos x)^2 = 1 and friends
Compound angle formulas (sin (A+B) = something)
Double angle formulas eg cos(2x) = three different things

I think this one's quite cool, probably not useful though:

If you can be bothered memorising there's a lot on wikipedia

Yeah, I was told to stick to the main Spec way of doing things so that examiners don't flip out.
