Aight im having trouble with the conclusion in my language analysis. I read that you cannot say if the writer has used strong persuasive techniques and that you cannot compare which peice is more effective(article or cartoon for eg). So then what am i suppose to include in my intro.

Happy hallooween!

I don't really think a conclusion is that necessary in a language analysis. I've been told that it's sufficient just to put a full stop at the end of your last paragraph and end your essay there.

However, if you really want to have a conclusion maybe just contrast the two articles or comment on the context of the issue and say how the issue is unlikely to be resolved within the near-future..

just try and pull everything together and you should be fine.

can we just end it off by saying something along the lines of: In [insert name here] opinion piece [he/she] uses a wide variety of persuasive techniques in an attempt to sway readers into believing [blah blah blah]. This, along with the cartoon help position the reader to feel that [insert name here]'s piece is good or wateva.

I don't think it really matters. Examiners already know your mark after about the first paragraph I reckon =P
