getting supply numbers is impossible. The only way to find out approximately, is how many places were filled last year, i guess.

ohh ok.  :( where on earth will i find that? google has failed me for the first time. the world must be ending.

Search for your course and look at the number on the far right column.

i.e. Biomedicine at UMelb:
Round 1 number of year 12 offers = 300
Round 1 total offers = 347

my course is new and there is no data :(
my second preference is nursing, and it says 32 places for round 1 year 12, and 126 round 1 total offers. does that mean there are only 32 places available in total? or is the extra places made up to 126 for round 2 and 3? or just for non-school leavers?

Does anyone know how it works with double degrees? Say I was interested in Science/Law at Monash. Would I have to add the total applying/offers for Law and for Science to get a scope of my chances? Is it based on all of the people applying a law degree, cumulatively?

There should be a list for your double degree

Thanks, I understand that. Isn't it, generally, the amount of students doing 'law' that affects the clearly-in? Rather than purely those doing Science/Law?

The clearly-in for what? Science/law? That would be affected by the number of people going for science/law specifically. That's why some law double degrees require higher ENTERs than others

Don't worry about the number mismatch if your predicted enter is hovering around last year's clearly in etc. You should be fine :)

My course = 7 spots this year, 54 applicants next year. Somehow I don't think 54 people all believed they could comfortably get in to it, otherwise there'd be 15-20 at most..

any idea where to find the numbers applying for each course for the previous year? 2006? that might help us see how preferences fluctuate :)

Wow, over 5000 applications for monash med all up (all schemes), 4500 of those in the top 3 preferences

I thought the same thing when I read it... there's obviously a LOT of med hopefuls out there...
