a few mistakes wont mean u cant get over 40 yeah O_O ?

what do you mean by few?
If your saying 4 wrong maybe just/
but with the difficulty rate of this exam, you might be lucky it your pushed up.
Because it was certainly little more difficult then 2006 and 2007.
Well for me it was. Im sure most people agree also

You can get a few more than 4 wrong and still get 40+ :)
Depends which exam they are in.
Remember, when you're talking about losing how many marks...
MC marks are worth more than SA marks.
Because both exams are equally weighted, but there are 40 marks in Exam 1 and 60 marks in exam 2.

i dont get it, how can MC marks be worth more?

what i think she means is that..  the A+ cut off is much higher for exam 1.. so if you lose a lot you have less chance of A+ and hence, less chance of 40.. but you can afford to lose a few marks on short answer because the cut off is much lower.

Each exam is 33%, equally weighted.

Exam 1 = 40 marks.
1 mark is worth 1/40 x100% = 2.5 %

Exam 2 = 60 marks
1 marks is worth 1/60 x100% = 1.67 %

So each mark in Exam 1 is worth 2.5 %  of 33% while each mark in Exam 2 is worth 1.67 % of 33%

ahh okay, that makes sense.. and fair enough too. losing one mark over 60 should be less punishable (for lack of a better word) than losing one over 40.

yes the calculations you did is right,
though its how the entire state goes.
remember your up against the entire state itself.

You can't just say eahc mark is 2.5percent,
if the entire state didnt go aswell as last year.
then scores are scaled up.
well depending on wrong.

Last yr, if you got more then 4wrong in exam 1, there was little change of 40+.
though it could be different this year.

Of course, it is just a approximate percentage.
But it still demonstates the point i was trying to make.

well done roxy,
ow can i ask you a question.
why did you repeat further, 41 sounds reasonably good.
this yr could be worst, or actually better off.
i would of been happy with 41, and focus more dearly on the remaining

I repeated it coz i love further so dearly <3  :smitten: roflz jks.

Anyways, i did it because there weren't many other subjects im interested in.
As you can see in my sig, all my subjects are number based, as i am trying my best to avoid any subjects which are wordy lol :P

Hmm, i guess i was partly cos i was disappointed in what i got because i KNEW i could have done better, but i didn't work as hard as i should have.
So yeah...i'm definitely expecting a better score this year, or else i'll be so devastated :(
