ugh so if the dumasses in my drama class hapnd to flook an an awesome exam mark better than mine, me being highest in the class would then be reduced to whatever sac mark he got!? how can u compare an exam mark to sac marks wen the exam is worth 25% and sac marks are worth 40%? so if i got 95 outv 100. the person with the highest exam mark will steal my 95??

no, the ranking of your exams isn't what determines your sac score. it's your ranking for the sacs that does.

eg: you are #1 for sacs in your cohort. but you get an exam mark that ranks as the 5th best or something. you still get the highest exam mark in your cohort as your sac mark because you were ranked #1 for sacs. get it?

anyhow, back OT...im not confident about my predicted further and esl scores :( which sucks cuz i had to get 45 in bm as it is, now its like i need 48. hopefully im underestimating my predicted scores, especially for esl.

Yep.

I'm hoping my whole class killed IT now.

For example:
I'd prefer to get 46 and be 4th in the class
then
get 43 and be first in the class.

I use to look at it as 'I must be the best in class, (ranked like 5th) , but now see the light ;)
2007: Software Development (40)
2008: English (35), Accounting (34), ITA (39), Legal (31), Methods CAS (24)
ENTER: 82.00
2009: BIT @ Swinburne (I Hope)

huuh, uve still got my head spinning and i really wanna get what u mean.

so since im first in drama and first in systems engineering for sacs, if i get the 4th best exam result in those 2 subjects what will happen to my sac marks and my exam result and are u 99% sure about this?

the best exam mark will be your sac mark, regardless of where you are ranked in your exams. your exam result doesnt change.

I'm actually expecting/hoping a higher ENTER then what i wanted at the start of Exams.
Then 95 and i would be happy, but now following Further and Legal really expecting 98+

ok heres another hypothetical just to try and figure out how the sacs work,
say you were ranked round 3rd-5th for sacs but got the highest exam mark, how does that work for ur sacs then?
does ur exam mark go to whoever was ranked 1st for ssac but in a way it disadvantages you??
ahh its so confusing!

EVERYONE NEEDS TO LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE. I think I'll get 75+ now. I only need 75.00 to do BSc at Monash but its a bit iffy that I'll get it at the moment... I can only wait till the 15th of December.

So.. the margin by which you beat people in overall in SAC's is irrelevant, and only the ranking is important?

That seems unfair.
