-did anyone say echoic memory helps as it filters out unwanted info?

-can we use method of loci for elaborative rehearsal?

-was it independant groups design?

-can you say "list A" was used to help eliminate some participant variables such as basic memory ability?

-was there a statistically signif difference?

-is beneficience ok as the eithical standard do u think?

cheers
btw, i had the same multi answers as the person that put them up so i hope you are right!! :)

-did anyone say echoic memory helps as it filters out unwanted info?
i did not, i defined echoic memory and then explained how it's duration helps for smooth interpretation of the sounds.

-can we use method of loci for elaborative rehearsal?
it is a mnemonic device which helps memory, so i assume so.

-was it independant groups design?
yes

-can you say "list A" was used to help eliminate some participant variables such as basic memory ability?
i said this, but i also mentioned how it was to determine the difference between group A and group B

-was there a statistically signif difference?
yes, as p<0.05 the results are said to be statistically significant, i didn't write this (1mark off whoops)

-is beneficience ok as the eithical standard do u think?
no, because the participants where not harmed in anyway, most people are saying voluntary participation, but i said integrity as the participants were bribbed to undertake the study so therefore the experiment was not "honest"

hope that helped

cheers for that

-so if we said "yes as p<0.05" would we get the mark

-does anyone think i could get a mark for the echoic memory question
some text books i think say that sensory memory gets rid of irrelevant information, so i hope i am right

and i know this sounds weak, but im hoping we could get one mark for beneficience, because if you think about it, what if one of them had a sugar overdose or something stupid like that
and it didnt mention beneficience, so im hoping that "dodger roger" as my teacher calls the chief assesor guy, will allow this
-however, i do think the best response would be voluntary participation breach, because of bribes etc

PS...i also did say the List A would be used to act as a baseline comparison and also to help eliminate...etc

i think you can say beneficence. as group one was exposed to high levels of sugar intake, thus a health risk. and i asked a psych teacher and he said thats fine

Ahhh did anyone not finish cause of time? I asked everyone and i seem to be alone in this. Someone reassure me please! haha >:(
i finished writing my last answer just as the dude said pens down, and didn't get to double check anything. last exam i had about 20 minutes to spare. this exam was harder imo, though maybe i just found it that way because i was much less prepared.

i said it acts as a standard of comparison against which the experimenter can compare etc etc
you probably need that 'baseline data' answer though...  :(

for multi's i got 31 as B - the scones are the unconditioned stimulus, the happiness felt from baking the scones would therefore be the unconditioned response...
and for 32 i got A - d is incorrect because it's talking about a pairing between ucs and ucr timewise, as opposed to the ucs and the cs/ns. therefore it must be A because taste aversion is adaptive (As shown by Garcia etc.)
