Also, in MC:
Q31 - B?
'having fun' is the unconditioned response..or? ugh.
Q32 - B?
i have no idea anymore.

hm yeah should get start methods too..

With the multiple choice, I'm a bit unsure about the aging question. Can someone look in the textbook? I think it's either B or D, but I'm not 100% either way. The effects of aging on memory are so vague!

im pretty sure it was actually operant, told by one of the psych teachers at my school. He knows his stuff, been teaching it forever.
The purpose of List A was to act as a baseline measure of comparison with List B

edit: beat me to it lol

Definitely not operant, he must have misunderstood the question. In operant the behavior leads to a consequence i.e. it would have to be "his voluntary anxiety caused him to be criticized" which def didn't occur. He felt involuntarily anxious in preparation for the stimulus (criticized) it fits classical conditioning

Generally when they say the old person is 'fit and healthy and is not suffering from brain disease or injury' etc. the expected answer is that they will not suffer from any large memory loss.

I've seen this question in another sample exam I've done or in checkpoints somewhere

Just realised you two both have B o.O I'm fairly sure I'm right though?

Regarding 31.

Having fun while baking scones with his grandmother is...

I thought that the "fun" was the UCS and that the actual "happiness" (like in question 30) was the UCR?

for 42.

Punishment discourages bad behaviour doesn't it? Or am i interpreting the question incorrectly? ><

but "having fun" is the response while his baking with his grandma?

For 42, I put punishment too.
Because negative reinforcement takes away something bad to encourage/strengthen a particular behaviour?
I think. The wording is so confusing.
