IT:A next Tuesday

How is everyone feeling about the exam next Tuesday?? What are you going to do on the day of the exam (since it's at 3pm)? I'm thinking about getting the MC out of the way in the 15 minutes reading time and then do all the short answer questions during writing time.

Anyone else finding it hard to study??? The course is extremely boring and I feel like I know everything (which I obviously don't.. but I don't know what to study). haha

I managed to get the 2003 and 2006 exam out of the way today. The VCAA exams are so much better/easier than VITTA and all the other companies.

Hopefully the trend continues this year and the A+ cutt off doesn't go up that much! I'm thinking maybe 78/90 (compared to 71.5/90 last year)??

Mmm. I've got Spec exam 2 at 11:45am - 2pm, so yeah that's what I got planned haha.

Reading time... read over the whole thing to sort of get a feel for the exam, then get some of the multiple-choice out of the way.

Yeah I know how you feel about finding it hard to study - it's probably a good sign lol. I won't dedicate too much time to ITA (and SD I guess), might just revise a bit everyday.

Fuck I hope the cut offs stay low. I can't study much for ITA anyway, the course is just boring as and its hard as to go over everything without falling asleep. Hopefully the exam won't be ambiguous or anything and will be fairly straight forward and hopefully the rest of the state will do shit so the cut offs will be nice and low :)

Yeah, I'm kind of hoping for a challenging exam like last years SD paper.

hahah yeah I know.. I always nearly fall asleep when I read over my notes.. the course is horrible lol

with the cutoffs.. I would be surprised if it stayed low like last year.. definitely nothing above 80.. middle to high 70's is my estimate

i'm just hoping that the exam stays in the similar format as last year... nice short (1 or 2 mark) questions.. no big 6 or 8 markers like VITTA!

VITTA exams are terrible, some of the questions are super weird with some which are linked which result in the loss of consequential marks..ugh.. but it sucks cause theres not too many papers to revise with aside from VITTA.

Yeah IT isn't generally known for high A+ cutoffs.. I reckon it'll be low-mid 70s this year.

VITTA exams... hmm they're okay but a bit dodgy with some questions.

yeah I gave up on VITTA and QAT (which are just super easy) and now i'm just going back over past IPM exams.. "

btw, does anyone know if we need to know the types of information: summary, detailed etc..

i've seen a lot of these in the past IPM exams and although most are quite simple I can never remember learning this stuff at school??

yeah you should know them, although they'll probably only dedicate one MC Q on it if they put it in at all
