The final week before my exam

I'm currently in year 11 doing Geo 3/4. So basically there's a week left to my exam and i'm just unsure on how much i should aim to study during this period? I was thinking theres really 18 hours between now and the exam which i can dedicate to geo but is that too much to do?

Cheers

Just do like 2-3 hours a day imo, you gotta own it as it's your only 3/4 subject.

When it comes to studying, nothing is never too much but 3 hours per day is sufficient enough.
Just make sure you rest up the day before your exam, and to not change your routine.
Go through (if you haven't done so already, but I'm sure you have):
- Past exams
- Check points
- Study design

Good luck!

Skim through your notes. All your hard work would have been done by this stage

i do geog and i'll be spending 5-8 hours a day on it between now and then.
except tuesday

it all depends on how well you want to do...
do as much as you can if you want to score high - and i'd recommend doing that, as it will make year 12 alot more pleasant if you have a decent score under your belt.

wth(what the hell). That's badddd. Don't do that it'll burn you out without a doubt. You got 1 week left and you're going to spend 8 hours a day on a subject and before you know it, when you're in the exam you'll be so drained that your mind will die.

is that even possible, 8 hours. max i'd say 3 hrs a day. I'm currently doing ~1.5 hours a day on legal and less on VCD, which are my 3&4 subjects due to the fact the i know all the content and crap so all is needed is constant revision and timing.

lol
i've got the whole of december, january, february to sleep it off.
i don't get burnt out like that - keep in mind that it's been a few weeks since ive done any work on it, having studied for other exams.

and commonn, your weak!
you spend 6.5 hours a day at school - 5-8 is easy!! get to the library at 10am, take an hour for lunch, and your home before 7

I had that attitude towards IT:A last year, and never thoroughly re-studied the materials despite having done a fair bit of revision [in the last couple of days]
I walked out with a 36, not a terrible score, but not enough to do anything useful

There is no set amount of time that someone should study per day per subject, that depends on the person, as well as how that person is feeling at the time. It is valid that there is no need to push yourself too hard, you just lose motivation and burn out, but you shouldn't go too easy on yourself either. Do what is right for you, and if your brain is like Rocky and can put up with 8 hours of geography per day, then by all means go for it, and snatch that awesome score.

I personally think that 3 hours a day isn't enough. I've been doing around 5-6 hours a day and i am perfectly sane lol. But i do think there is a limit when you have to say 'enough is enough', as Mao explained. I've always wanted to do 8 hours a day, but by the time i get to 5-6 i just get too tired. I think it would be easier if you had 2 or more subjects to study for because it mixes it up a bit.

For example, this week i am studying Media and History and will probably do around 6 hours a day. I'm fairly confident for History but not so much for Media, and will probably spend all that time revisiting the necessities of the course and completing copious amounts of practice questions. IMO, if you have a clearly defined goal then study as much as you think you need to. I am just waiting for the day after my Media exam which is only 8 days away, so i feel as though i should give it everything i've got until then.

However, if you are in year 11, don't go too hard because you've got a big year ahead.
What a great rant.

Yep I'm in exact same situation. I'll be aiming for 8+ a day. Got all my notes, want to have everything rote learned by Tuesday evening, pretend the exam is Wednesday. Then Wednesday just do questions. Thursday Learn some more then just chilllllllllllllllll. Did it for legal last year so I know it's possible.

how much you get for legal? sorry if i've asked before but it seems relevant to the topic since this would seem a good approach, i.e. 8+, if it worked out last year.

i'm pretty sure i've asked before, or was it someone else? can't remember
