Does anyone know how many marks you could have lost in 2007 for a 45+? i.e. total marks across both exams and total marks across all three GAs.
I'm ranked 1 or 2 for SACs, midyear A+ (lost at least 2 marks..), and end of year probably a high A or an A+ (lost at least 3 marks uggggggh)..teacher and I really hoping for a 45+ but at this stage I very much doubt I can make it.
If you really lost 2 marks on midyear and lost 3 marks on endyear and your SACs aren't moderated badly then you will get 50 (probably). Did you get statement of marks or are you just estimating? Becuase some of the mid-year marking was quite harsh...but then a lot of people scored very highly too.
Top 8% get 40+
Top 9% got A+ for first exam
Expect at least 1% to get A+ on the first exam and not to get A+ on the second exam
Last year for the second exam only the top 7-8% were given A+
In 2007, you could lose a total of 40-something points across the three GAs and get 44. I know someone who lost around 13-marks on the first exam (low A+), gunned the SACs (full marks) and lost around 20-marks on the second exam (high A) and got into the low 40s...so anything is possible.
But then in 2007, you could lose like 7-9 marks on the first exam (which was pretty easy), get full marks on SACs and lose around 1-2 marks on the final exam and get 50. As you know in 2006, you could lose 12 marks on first exam and 3 marks on the second exam (20 GA points) and get 50. So if you seriously think you only lost 10 GA points over both exams 50 is very achievable. However, if you lost more than that than maybe not 50 but 45+ should be achievable.
