hey, what is the easiest path into astrophysics through monash or melbourne university.  Are there lots of jobs for it in australia, or is it just in America

-Melbourne doesn't have undergrad astrophysics
-Monash offers it as a major

That's all I know, despite studying it. :P

ASTROPHYSICS AT MONASH FTW.

La Trobe offers "Space Physics" I don't know what that is though. Basic astronomy probably.

I did a lot of research(I do weird things when I can't sleep) on this and you're technically not an astrophysicist until you get a PhD, according to wikipedia, anyway. I know someone who's brother is working in Australia at the moment who's working on getting his PhD in astrophysics whilst he works at an observatory. However, he does contract work and goes all over the world wherever work is available.
