I don't like it.
And before i receive a tirade of abuse, i'd just like to justify as to why i have come to this conclusion. The website front page should cater for its intended audience (which is year 12s -give and take 3 years). Although the design is great, and kudos to
ell for the excellent work, its blockyness is a worrying part. The design looks too 'professional' - the charcoal colour just accentuates it professionalism and i don't know if that's a good thing to be honest if that makes sense. It looks like something a Lawyer or a CA would use- not something that is 'hippity-hop' for 18 year olds. I don't know, that's just my opinion, and i have no doubt that it would be out-weighted- but yeah.
If a funky looking page can't be whipped up, then, what i think, and this is what most forums have, is that
www.vcenotes.com should just be redirected to the forum (where the popup comes to say" become a member now") rather than having a pre-word out as your opening page.
Again,
ell its a great job, but in my opinion, it doesn't fit.
