i didnt mean to come across as rude - but if you were really average learner, or didnt care about your scores it would be OK, however i don't agree with people that have aims like that, with 12 months from now to prepare for the exam, and are expecting to get ~60-70% on the exam.

there is goal setting, then there is realistic goal setting

it is important setting a high aim, but it is equally as important setting a realistic goal so to keep up the motivation and not be disappointed.

That said, there's nothing wrong with being optimistic so long as it's not overly optimistic to the point of near impossibility.

and therefore 40+ is a goal that is not overly optimistic, as a solid work ethic and an average brain will certainly get you there. this is something which alot of people could achieve, but don't bother to - and i'm sure 'hard' can too.

Because it seems as though I will have Spec and English on the Friday, then Biol and Further and Spec on the Monday...

Ouch?

For those who care, my VCE coordinator spoke with VCAA and I get the following special consideration for the Monday where I have 3 exams:
-I can pick what times during the day I sit the 3 exams, even though I still have to sit them in the same order. There will be a supervisor who follows me all day to make sure I don't cheat!
-I get 10 mins extra writing time for each one of the exams.
-I get a derived score for the last exam (Spec Exam 2!) assuming this derived score is higher than the score I actually receive.

So, even though my timetable is shit, at least VCAA is giving me a little bit of help!
