I know which one you would choose!!!  Who knows, if demand grows in a few years time I may offer both models (small lecture and large lecture) and let the student decide which one they prefer.  Don't panic for me, my business offers more than just Summer school Lectures at $50 a session.  Take a look at my website.  My goal is to develop weekly tutorial classes as that is where I believe the most effective learning takes place and for the student/parent it is the best value for money.  I am a parent as well as a teacher you know!!  Just remember in life you also have to be true to you morals and beliefs and be able to sleep well at night with the decisions you have made.  I don't feel comfortable taking money from hard working parents if I don't believe in the model.

Do you feel comfortable in winning Tattslotto? Would you give all the money back to hard working parents? Did the latest $1000 from Mr Rudd be donated to RedCross?

I don't feel comfortable taking money from hard working parents

Winning Tattslotto.

Well you would gain your winnings from those hard working parents.

Leaving them to be broke, losing their house, breaking up marriages and possibly shortening their lives!

I don't know why you're still challenging her over such trivial things, but I don't think the scale of Tattslotto is equal to something like pokie machines anyway. Haven't heard of many stories where families go bust from playing Tattslotto at least...

Tattslotto is gambling. -  Gamble here, you gamble there.

We live in a hugely capitalist style dog eat dog world, not many people become wealthy from being nice, honest people.

If your running a business as she is, do your best to maximise profitability...don't be nice :)

She also has individual freedom of choice. If she sees job satisfaction in teaching to smaller classes who are you to tell her she shouldn't do that.

Go Kellie!

Well I think she's doing fine on her own anyway and as Costa said, let her do what she wants. She's entering a very competitive market pretty much dominated by her ex-employer TSFX, and I think she knows better than anyone that if she ran large 250 people lectures, she'd be fighting an uphill battle against TSFX and NEAP and the other large lecture companies. Rather, entering in in a more niche market catering for smaller groups and using this as a point of sale seems like the smarter option anyway. Sure, getting 250 people and charging them $50 would be great, but that's if it was possible to attract such numbers at such a price in the first place.
