I also began following them around that period. Merson and Carbone were my favourites, and I remember we briefly topped the table as well as reaching the FA cup final against Chelsea (before they were rich) in 2000..

   True, but Kewell hasn't been at his best for 4 matches > since his Leeds days
        One of his long-rangers against Villa :cry:  at Elland rd was absolutely amazing, although Carbone scored one of similar quality against Leeds  :D  during the cup run of 2000 that Wst mentioned
