I would go for it, especially as your parents are willing to pay - prime opportunity to strike out on your own without getting too bogged down by financial considerations! Also consider your own happiness I guess ... if your parents are making you miserable then it's probably better to get away.

Then again like Eriny I'm also very independent and would LOVE to have that opportunity offered to me by my parents lol.

Yeah I do want to leave, my parents are treating me quite terribly lately, and now that my sisters are home things are getting a little out of hand... oh and not to mention my dads sister and her husband a living with us for a bit...

Yeah i'm quite independent too Erin... i would love to have my own place i just don't know if i'm ready to move out yet though ..

hehe u gonna invite us all over for a party ^^

Wow I definitely would, why don't you move closer to university, ie Monash or something, and if you're scared you'd get bored, you could move into a Uni Residence or something, because there you'd be surrounded by lots of other people.

I'm jealous, I'd absolutely love to move out, but I can't afford it!

I say wait till you are older, and save the money that would go towards rent for something you might need, like a car? You can remain independent whilst living at home, i'm sure.

It's not THAT old lol.

=P

Odette: have you looked at on-campus accomodation when you get to Uni? It's pretty fun, I'm told. You're never alone basically ;). I'll hold you to that invite offer though!
