weird study scores?

i'm sorry to bother everyone about this but i would like to know if i should ask a person of authority about a couple of my study scores...

for english, i got A+ A+ A+ and it gave me a study score of 40, which isn't too bad... i dont think. but then my friend got A+ A A+ and the same score. whats weirder is another friend got A+ A+ A+ but only a 39?

for spesh, i got B+ B+ B+ (all my GAs were triplets this year) and it gave me 31. i got a 30 was an average of C+s?

The letter grades represent a range of scores
Lets say in fictitious over simplified example where all GAs have the same weight, A+ = 41/50 or better, A = 36-40/50

Person A gets 42/50, 42/50, 42/50, A+ A+ A+ 40
Person B gets 42/50, 40/50, 44/50, A+ A A+ 40
Person C gets 41/50, 41/50, 41/50, A+ A+ A+ 39 (as you can see, person C's total is lower, person A and B have the same total)


Similar argument can be used to explain why A+ A+ A+ can get you anywhere between 39 and 50, although people forget about this one because this is obvious to them

I got A+, B+, A+ and got a 39 .. just depends on how high and low those grades are as to what score you will get.

my friend got A B B+ and got 34.  i guess its because exam 2 seems to weigh so much more but still feels kinda unfair.

Yeh, that's a bit wierd. I got An A, A and A+ and hit a 40. Those A's were low A's too and i'm sure Sacs and the exam are equal in English.

For spec, i got a B, c+, c+ and got a 29. Again, just flat out wierd. That should've ended up around 26-27.

Yeah it's true... happened to me with further but I ended up with 40
