I did a 5-point 3-point turn jst 4 the sake of it 2day and it's basically like midas said. Erm, if u do do a 3-point turn in 5 moves, u should know that u lose a point for your driving test. Better than failing for hitting the gutter though I spose.

Go Nick!!! :D :D :D

How'd you find it? No 5-point 3-point turns I assume? I doubt it would've come to that.

It went really well. I got a 20 metre reverse as my low speed driving movement which was really easy. There was nothing ticked in the "room for improvement" section which was pretty damn surprising. My instructor was like best friends with the tester so they were chatting the whole time. I was sooooo nervous to begin with though. My first solo drive is tonight lol

I'm sure you'll be fine. It is strange driving alone @ 1st tho; I had a girl who wanted me to sit in the car with her jst while she moved it and parked it. It was in the city, she'd only been on her Ps for a week and wasn't too confident with parallel parking. I'm jst glad you passed! I hate the 20m reverse actually, that's the only 1 I hope I don't get XD

My instructor was like best friends with the tester so they were chatting the whole time.

The reason behind this is to try and distract the tester, so they fail to pick up on any minor mistakes u do.

I booked in a day before my test. If you ring up every day, sooner or later there is a cancellation.

I have my hazards next week. Any advice?

There isn't really any preparation you can do except for completing the demo questions on the Vicroads website. They are very useful and you may find that the practice questions on the site actually feature in the real test.

Erm, this is out of 'Road to Solo Driving':

"Possible hazards can be the vehicles around you, such as:
* The car in front
* The car behind
* The motorcycle in the side street to your left
* The truck double-parked up ahead
* The car approaching in the overtaking lane five car lengths behind you.

Possible hazards can also be:
*Pedestrians
*Cyclists
*Weather conditions
*Potholes in the road
*Traffic conditions
*The tightness of a curve ahead
*A blind crest on a hill"

The hazards test tests all of the things in the second part I believe. Watch out for: potholes (it's on a country road), this question with a hill and a tractor you would SO wanna overtake in real life (blind crest), tram's brake lights, turning cars, school kids, traffic lights changing last second, waiting for a safe gap (there are two or three of this same road where you're supposed to be getting aross a few lanes of opposing traffic to turn right and I remember that @ least one of them didn't have a safe gap in traffic so don't be tempted to click - same goes for a few of the other questions; if in doubt, don't click), a cyclist (a la demo question - you can get the demo questions in your test, I got the one on that country road with the section of gravel/dirt), and that motocyclist I KILLED XD (you have to safely get across the highway, there's a car turning into the street you're in and it looks safe, but it isn't coz the motorcyclist is hidden behind the turning car). There are obviously others, but that gives you a general idea. It's not too hard, I totally sucked but still passed. It's not very true to real life though as other ppl have already said - you could be the best driver in the world and fail your hazards. If you pass, be happy  :)

Heh. We could probably make an answer guide for the hazard test (and, come to think of it, the learners test as well). It'd be so funny if after years of people getting scores around 60% that people start getting 100s.
