Best. Patch. Ever.

It's probably meant for those computers with no internet connection.

Do I get extra interest from the time-bank for mandatorily depositing 1 hour of my time earlier?

I'm annoyed. I really enjoy the time when it isn't daylight savings. Plus, now I can't be bothered changing my computer because I'll just have to change it back next week anyway, and therefore have to think whenever I look at the time.

I don't know why the date for daylight savings was changed??

lol. I don't know what all the fuss was about. My clocks were never changed. You never manually change comp. clocks. It's synced with the net.

Today the bus I was on (smartbus) thought it was an hour ahead o_O
So like the signs along the road at the bus stops said:

Arrival time | Route | Mins
10:24 | 900 Caulfield | now
9:37 | 900 Caulfield | 11 mins

Also the ticket machine thought it was in zone 1 so it was free :D

The net syncs using UTC time which is then converted to your timezone (+DST) locally. The patch is needed to prevent the automatic DST adjustment. I'm fairly sure it was rolled out very quietly =)

We're pretty much gonna have equal amounts of daylight saving and non daylight saving from now on. Not really a fan of daylight saving tbh. Good to have normal time back now.
Some snippets of what goes on in IRC:
