Decided on your dress yet - may I remind you that our formal is in December! but it is a good idea to keep an eye out. worst comes to worst Bondi shopping is renown.

and by the way, as nice as this guy sounds, the one thing I learnt in IT is don't hook up with strange internet guys. Sorry no offence intended, Excalibur I'm sure your not a serial killer.

My formal is going to be held at the Melbourne Park Function Centre.

It hardly sounds glamorous seeing as it's right next to Rod Laver Arena :P

Anyone had their formal there before?  Is the food any good? (only concern lol)

my formal is at san remo ballroom near Carlton. going to wear a sick as politix suit which is like a brownish gold. Not the oldies look, the modern type. Don't know about limousines though. would be nice. It's on the 28th of November so 2 days before my bday and why is my formal so late.

i just realized, this is an old thread.

It's something that people go to at the end of a year. You get dressed up, looking very glamorous, take a date/partner to the formal (who you don't really know), realise everyone looks nicer than you, realise your school captain is smashed, eat food that isn't very nice that cost you lots money, dance to 90's music (and realise you all know the lyrics to Spice Girls' songs), go to an after party and get smashed and then get to bed early morning the next day.

Then you look at the photos (afterwards) of the night, and don't understand why you didn't look as nice as you thought you did.

 heh, our college's will be at the Melbourne Aqaurium. Haven't been there so don't know what to expect
