Working Overseas Programs

At the end of Year 12, I'm going to Hong Kong for a couple of weeks. Since China is so close, I would really love to go there and perhaps work there.

Is there such thing as organisations who facilitate a host family and accomodation for you? Or is that only for secondary student exchanges?

Also (this is kinda unrelated), but could I apply for a part time job (in Australia) for the summer break, even though I'm going away for a month? Uni starts in Feb, so I'd still be working for two months and I'd probably continue the job.

It's probably better to apply for a job early in September to avoid the rush of people applying. I'm sure the employer won't mind.
