Here's what mine says:

Loreto Mandeville Hall is a Catholic school in Melbourne, Australia, with approximately 950 girls from Prep to Year 12 with a co-educational Early Learning Centre at St Peter's Parish, Toorak. Loreto Mandeville Hall strives for excellence in all that it does. An extensive and challenging academic program is integral to the education of mind and heart that is cherished at Loreto. A love of learning is fostered by the delight with which specialist teachers in every subject share their passion for their subjects with the students.

The students at Loreto Mandeville Hall learn in an advanced technological environment, with a wireless network which allows for "anywhere, anytime" access to the online curriculum. There are also dedicated art and music facilities and the new Drama Centre, "the Basement" was opened in 2005 providing a creative, atmospheric and flexible teaching and learning area for Drama.

Students leave Loreto Mandeville Hall with a confident sense of self worth, a taste for excellence, and awareness of global issues, a social conscience, and instilled with a sense of responsibility to help build a better world.

Lol.

No. The pictures on the website are by an artist who does the pictures for the front covers of our journal/planner thingy and has also done a large picture in our school hall. So it doesn't seem weird or childish, just normal.

And my school does do quite well.

And the majority of our teachers don't suck (one or two might suck - not mentioning any names, as the vice-principal likes to snoop around on the internet and catch us bagging our teachers, particularly on facebook).

The 'love hearts' are on are school emblem and on our blazer - it's the heart of Jesus (the one with the cross in it).
And as my school's Catholic, we're all about peace, love, hope, etc.

I'm not dissing them at all, they and the font seem to go well with your school's image. just saying the site was quaint compared to that of other schools and institutions

Catholic Regional College Sydenham was founded in 1982 and is unique in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. As the senior college in a federation of four colleges, it offers Catholic education to a diverse group of students in years 11 and 12 who gather mostly from the partner colleges of CRC Melton, North Keilor and St Albans. A coeducational secondary campus, the school is able to offer a broad curriculum which includes an extensive range of Victorian Certificate of Education, Vocational Education and Training In Schools and Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning options to cater to the needs of our students and their families.

Our school motto “Faith Seeking Understanding” calls each member of the school community to grow toward their full potential following the model of Jesus Christ and the Gospel values of:
Hope
Trust
Justice
Service
Truth
Love

Our broad educational program aims to develop a life long commitment to learning together with a nurturing of personal maturity and social responsibility. Students are encouraged to be:
Creative
Open minded
Critical thinkers
Proactive
Independent learners

Our school community seeks to create an environment which gives all students an opportunity for success and excellence. Through catering for individual needs and differences we foster:
Respect
Empathy
Acceptance
Reconciliation
Self esteem

It is our hope that all students upon leaving Catholic Regional College Sydenham will continue to strive for  ‘Faith Seeking Understanding’.

Matthew Flinders is proud of its origin. The original foundation stone was laid in 1856 when there were few other schools in Geelong. The College is one of eight girls only state educational providers and the only provider outside of the metropolitan area. The College has a student population of close to 1000 girls and experiences a strong demand for enrolments at all levels.

The College is centrally situated within the business, arts and sporting precincts of Geelong. A large proportion of girls are from the immediate locality, but a significant number come from outside the City of Greater Geelong. The student population incorporates a diverse range of cultures.

The College operates in three buildings, two on the main site and one on an adjacent site. Years 7, 10, 11 and 12 are located on the largest site, whilst Years 8 and 9 are on our recently acquired and refurbished site, the Helen Fraser Campus. This campus houses the Year 9 IBL (Inquiry Based Learning) centre, a new open learning area for Year 8’s as well as specialist facilities for music, dance/drama, media and photography. The Learning Centres provide girls with an environment that addresses the needs of the 21st century, allowing for innovative and flexible modes of learning in an information communication technology rich environment. Throughout the College information technology facilities are extensive with an increasing number of classrooms and specialist rooms now with electronic whiteboards. The College has a very extensively resourced library. Other College facilities include a large assembly hall/gymnasium, well resourced science laboratories, food technology centres and a drama/dance centre, a recording studio and a ‘state of the art’ multipurpose court complex. On each site, an Assistant Principal provides educational leadership and day to day governance. Student Level Managers, Program and Pathways Managers, teams of teachers and support staff oversee and promote well being, discipline, purposeful learning and teaching and the development of individual student pathways.

Curriculum in Years 7-10 is premised on the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) through core and elective offerings. The Year 7 program is all core and is based on a smaller team of teachers teaching at this level. Year 8 has seen the expansion of the Leading Schools Funded Inquiry Based Learning program, with the introduction of a program known as HUEN, core and elective offerings. Year 9 students participate in the IBL program, core and elective programs. A very strong Home Groups program supports the girls throughout the middle years.

A wide range of options is made available to Later Years students. The College is renowned for its extensive range of VCE units, access to a range of vocational Education and Training Programs (VET) and a high completion rate. The College also successfully implements the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) at both Senior and Intermediate levels. Later Years students can accelerate into a VCE or VET subject and they can take up opportunities to incorporate a School Based Apprenticeship (SBNA) into their program. Support programs such as mentoring and ‘A Step Ahead’, linking VCE programs with the Gordon TAFE; provide extra diversity for the girls.

Students at all levels are offered many leadership opportunities as well as a broad range of extra-curricular activities. Student participation in decision making is promoted and encouraged.

The College is a Select Entry Accelerated Learner Program (SEALP) provider, the only provider of an Accelerated Learners Program in an all girls setting. This program provides students with the opportunity to be selected at Year 7 to undertake a faster paced curriculum.

The College is the home of the Sweethearts, an exceptionally talented music group that performs frequently in professional contexts and has travelled internationally. Sweethearts’ members continually develop and improve their stage craft and musicianship, and are formally recognised by their completion of Certificate IV in music, under the auspice of Ausmusic.

In striving for continuous improvement, Matthew Flinders Girls Secondary College is committed to maximizing the educational opportunities for all students, with staff professional learning playing a vital role in achieving this. We also focus on continually improving the physical environment with the belief that this impacts on student and staff-well being.

We have a future to which we are indeed Looking Forward.

ive got a friend who goes to loreto or whatever its' called. can't say the name but their in year 12. I heard it does quite well. But she does tell me the teachers there suck.

Who is it?

And my school does do quite well.

And the majority of our teachers don't suck (one or two might suck - not mentioning any names, as the vice-principal likes to snoop around on the internet and catch us bagging our teachers, particularly on facebook).

hahaha, our principal does the same, except he snoop around on MySpace.
that's the difference in standard right there :P

Three girls from my school actually got suspended for making a group on facebook bagging one of the teachers. And then our school captain wrote a comment on the wall of the group - she got into huge trouble....
I'm thinking the vice-principal is under some pseudo name and is friends with everyone and that's how she knows all*shudders*
